The Big "50"

Last week was my Step Mom's 50th Birthday and I made her a lovely card that represents her very well I must say. My Step mom has a very large love for shoes our joke when ever she goes on a trip is how many pairs of shoes she brought back with her. She also loves shopping our family trips to the united states always includes a stop off in Grove City Pennsylvania, a little stop in Erie and obviously a stop at her favorite shoe store DSW before crossing back over the border. Well here it is :) It is one of my favorite cards I have made so far. She told me a fact she read in a magazine that people with a shoe collection/fetish generally has 30 pairs of shoes....I think she has almost 150 :)

"5 Months Till Christmas Blog Hop!"

Hello there, and welcome to our "5 Months Till Christmas Blog Hop!", yes only 5 MONTHS!!!!. Every month on the 25th of the month my friend Shari and a few other ladies get together for a fun blog hop to show off two Christmas cards each, one made using a die-cut of some sort and one made using a colour medium.

A little back history for you. I met Shari two years ago while I was a temp at her work, our friendship started due to our Danish heritage and it grew from there. We continue to find things in common and as most of you that know Shari she is wonderful and caring friend ( as well as Crafty ). I recall every day for a month or two before Christmas 2011 Shari would come to work and place the count down to the big day on one of the white boards. She would also tell me about all the cards she needed and wanted to get done before Christmas and how rushed she felt to get them done. As we all know Shari LOVES Christmas and she tries to make everyone feel special and make each card special for each person. This Blog hop was born on the idea of wouldn't it be great to get a head start at the beginning of the year and at least get a few cards done each month so we all don't feel the stress those few months before the big day.

This is my first time being apart of a blog hop and as you may be able to tell I am also quite new to blog land. So bare with me as this may be a long post and might have some glitches. I currently do not have much in the way of Christmas card supplies I guess I will have to start to stock up, so I hope i have followed the rules. Both of my cards use abit of both elements required colouring and Die Cuts.

If you are following the hop you should have arrived here from  Heather' Blog, but if not be sure to start back at the beginning at Sally's Blog so that you do not miss out on the amazing cards the ladies made to show to you.

The Beginning

So here it goes, My friend Shari introduced me back into the world of crafting about 6 months ago after seeing the beautiful cards and colouring she did I knew I would love getting back into this world. She also introduced me to stamping and copic markers and I am in love there is no looking back now.  So there we have it my first post :) .

This is the Amazing Card Shari made me last year for my birthday that defiantly peeked my interest in this crazy world of card making

Here is what did me in my first Copic Experience and the love began.
